We are in the third Millennium, and the communication industry is literally thriving.  Cell phones * are more common than lighters have ever been.  Voice beepers Palm Pilots and the like are sold to millions weekly and are fast replacing wallets and acting as replacement for even credit cards for the "I want it now generation".  The world is "Connected" or is it?
