Celebrating Ponzi
I suggest anybody who was entranced by the Madoff story to read the book about Ponzi. I promise you will want to devour it, not just read it.

Madoff Case and the Power of the Mind
On a recent trip to Europe, I had lots of time to think and my thoughts centered on a particular event that has had lots of news lately, which we’ll call, “The Madoff Case.” Most of this news were against this man that concocted this colossal investment juggernaut. Quite often, I heard calls for his deserving of being put to death, especially on CNBC in the morning. After lots of thinking, I feel quite different from all the outcry that has poured against him. I think this Madoff case is quite interesting because the man has been very careful in which people to involve in this sensational idea that he has come up with over 25 years ago. Imagine that to become part of his, “selected group” you had to be screened over and over and introduced by reputable suckers already in place. I’m quite sure the man has not accepted piggy bank money from poor kids that were saving to buy their ice cream cone, or from panhandlers, or from mothers on welfare intent on starving their kids in order to satisfy their craving. The people that were affected by this intent to join a greedy investment scheme were well off, if not 100%, at least 99.999999999999999%. Did these people deserve the shearing they got? I would answer with a categorical, “YES.” These people fit to the T the say, “If God did not want them sheared, would not have created them sheep.” I remember reading the book about Carlo Ponzi and be amazed with it. It was a very novel at the time idea that Ponzi concocted and he worked the same as thousands of others did after that. Find enough greedy suckers and you will be able to take them to the cleaners. Most of the Ponzi schemes though, have centered on small investors. I cannot think of anyone else that got to the point of Madoff attracting the biggest suckers available, not only in Wall Street, but in the World. I would like to be joined by others, so we can form a club and applaud this genius.
