"The Joy of Family"
The best holiday of the year is here and the whole world is ready to celebrate it as it has since the beginning of time. The only difference
over the years has been the commercial aspect that has been added to it more and more with every recurrence. I warmly remember my childhood years and the anticipation we built for Christmas. Then was the nativity rendering both in church and at home and now is gifts (for the grownups) and toys (for the kids). Then it was the thought that seemed to matter most; Now it seems that if you give each other ten gifts or toys you show more love than if you give one. The advent of the media and advertising tied together to the relentless thirst for profit made "the love of family"more material than abstract (or at lest is trying harder and harder to). My only wish at this time of the year is that "The joy of family" will grow in all of us and that we'll strive to win over the material part of it.
