I was listening to a talk show on the radio the other day and a lady came on the line (cool as a cucumber) and stated in the most comfortable and stern manner the following: “Texas needs the USA a lot less than the USA needs Texas. We are the only state that can fly the flag at the same height as the United States and we can secede from the Union with a simple vote.”

Since then, I have thought quite often at what would it be like if Texas would become its own entity. I feel confident that no Texan leader in our lifetime would ever go out apologizing to the rest of the world for anything that Texans have ever done since we in Texas don’t believe we have anything to be apologetic for. One thing is for sure. Texans would never ever ever ever elect an Obama type for as far as we can see in the future.
