I got up a 6am to find us gliding through the Tiger River, a bigger one then yesterday but no way near the size of the Amazon. Saw a wonderful sunrise while two dolphins were playful with each other. We went fishing before noon but we found ourselves blocked by a fallen tree in the middle of the small canal so we had to come back. We came back just in time to miss the rain. We had an excursion on our launch in the evening and caught a small alligator. In the evening, we stopped at a village called Nueros York and that’s where I got to visit with a bunch of kids that were playing with a top. This was really wonderful because it reminded me so much of my childhood. I was not successful in throwing the top but I succeeded several times in catching it while spinning in my hand and having it continue spinning on the palm of my hand. That evening me and one of the guides, Segundo, went to the local television amphitheater (a local entertainment center where they have only hooked up the TV in town) and we watched the game Peru against Columbia which Peru lost 1 to 0.
